It doesn’t sound like we’ll ever see AJ Styles make his way to the ring with his iconic TNA Wrestling theme ever again.
WWE Superstar AJ Styles was a recent guest on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet. When his “Get Ready to Fly” TNA theme was brought up, Styles explained why he never wants to hear that song ever again.
“Oh man, listen, GRITS, the guys that done that song for me, awesome guys. I don’t want to hear that song ever again,” AJ Styles said. “My sons love it. They’re like, ‘Dad, if you came back ’cause TNA is working with WWE you could come back to Get Ready to Fly. I’m not coming out with that song, guys. I’m just not doing it, not because I hate it, I just listened to it for so long. I don’t want to come out to it anymore. So unless somebody sneaks it in on me I’m not walking out to that song.”
While many fans associate this theme song with AJ’s TNA run, his first theme with the company was apparently less memorable.
“If you watch the first TNA show, oh man, it’s terrible,” AJ Styles said. “I can’t even remember what it’s like, but I was so embarrassed walking out to it. So you’ll have to go back and listen to that. It is terrible.”
