Dave Bautista Presents Award For Best Cinematography At 2025 Oscars

Dave Bautista was joined by a host of stars to present the award for Best Cinematography at the Oscars on Sunday night.

The WWE legend has gone full throttle into acting since retiring from wrestling in 2014, aside from one last match against Triple H in 2019. He has starred in huge franchises like Avengers and James Bond, and has recently starred alongside Pamela Anderson in The Last Showgirl.

He wasn’t nominated for any of his roles at the 97th Academy Awards. However, he was brought in to help present one of the Oscars. Bautista, alongside Joe Alwyn, Alba Rohrwacher, Zoe Saldaña, and Willem Dafoe, took to the stage to present the award for the Best Cinematography.

The star-studded presenters announced the winner last night at the Dolby Theater on Hollywood Boulevard. They awarded the prize to The Brutalist, which also won for best score and best actor (for Adrian Brody).

Dave Bautista Wasn’t The First Wrestler To Present At The Oscars

Dave Bautista is not the first wrestler to help present an award at the Oscars. Last year, a naked John Cena presented the award for Best Costume Design with a hilarious skit alongside Jimmy Kimmel.

16-time WWE world champion John Cena showed up at The Oscars last year, and he was seemingly naked. He noted that he did not want to go streaking because he did not want to get judged. Cena noted streaking was a tasteless idea, and Jimmy Fallon noted that it was supposed to be funny.

Cena fired back by saying that the male body was not a joke. Fallon subsequently said that wearing jorts was worse than being naked after Cena noted that he wrestled in them.

John Cena then came out to present the award for Best Costume Design. He was covered by nothing but an envelope, and he was wearing sandals.

Luckily, Dave Bautista was much more dressed up compared to John Cena last year.
