John Cena turned heel at WWE Elimination Chamber.
In the main event, Cena won the Men’s Elimination Chamber to earn a shot at Cody Rhodes‘ Undisputed WWE Championship. Rhodes came out after the match, and they were joined by The Rock, who was accompanied by Travis Scott. The Rock demanded an answer from Rhodes, as he previously told Rhodes that he wanted his soul.
Rhodes told The Rock that his soul belonged to the fans and the ring a long time ago, and he went so far as to say, “Go f*ck yourself.” He hugged Cena, who looked at The Rock. The Rock gave his signal, and Cena hit Rhodes below the belt. Cena proceeded to brutally attack Rhodes, as he punched him while a Rolex was wrapped around his fist. Cena then hit Rhodes with the title.
The Rock then whipped Rhodes with a weight belt while Cena and Scott held the champion down. Cena, The Rock, and Scott left together.
