Mysterio clashed with Chris Sabin of the Motor City Machine Guns on the February 28th episode of WWE Speed, and Mysterio emerged victorious. He clinched the win with a Frog Splash.

The tournament will continue on the March 5th episode of WWE Speed. Yoshiki Inamura will face Ivar in the other first-round match. The winner will face Dominik Mysterio, and WWE Speed Champion Dragon Lee will clash with the victor.
