Bianca Belair comments on the reported frustration within WWE‘s women’s division.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) recently reported that some talent within the women’s division had expressed their frustration about the creative in WWE’s division. Sources pointed out the lack of focus on developing contenders, the tag team division, and the screen time for women outside the top stars, as well as redundant storylines, as some issues.
Speaking with Joseph Staszewski for New York Post Sports, Bianca Belair was asked about the reported frustration within the women’s division.
“I haven’t really seen anything, honestly. What I will say is that it’s WrestleMania season, everybody’s fighting to get onto WrestleMania. It’s the biggest time of the year. It’s like our Super Bowl, so everybody’s wanting to be on WrestleMania. What I will say is our roster is so stacked. We have so many talented women.
“We just saw that in the Royal Rumble, where you have women from the past, the present, the future. Every single woman that was in that match could have a WrestleMania-caliber match. So our roster’s so stacked, and that is why I’m happy that we got two new titles to really showcase that talent, and right now, it’s a hectic time of the year, and everybody’s just fighting to get on WrestleMania.”
Bianca Belair: Our Roster Is So Stacked
Belair went on to say that this was how WrestleMania season typically went. She emphasized how WWE’s roster was stacked, and everyone was fighting to be on WrestleMania.
“So that’s just how this time of the year is, and all I can say is our roster is just so stacked, and we just need those opportunities to showcase that, and it’s just gonna keep crazier and crazier because there’s more women from NXT that are gonna get called up, and we’re all just fighting to get to WrestleMania,” Bianca Belair said. “That’s just natural feelings. If you don’t want to be on WrestleMania, then why are you here? Everybody wants to be on WrestleMania. So it’s a natural feeling.”
