Moose Reflects On WWE In-Ring Debut, Says There Wouldn’t Be An Oba Femi Without Him

Moose has reflected on his debut match in the WWE and a future bout with Oba Femi.

The TNA X-Division star wrestled his first-ever match in NXT last year. He defended his title against Lexis King, beating the former AEW star handily as he continued his rivalry with NXT Champion Moose.

After the match, Oba Femi confronted Moose, just as he did on TNA last week. The match was quickly set as Oba Femi vs Moose at NXT Roadblock, giving the TNA star his first taste of WWE PLE’s.

In an interview on YouTube following NXT, Moose reflected on his first match in NXT. He said it has lifted a weight off his shoulders as he achieved one of his goals in life to wrestle in WWE, before firing a warning to Oba Femi.

Moose had an awesome NXT debut, but he’s looking forward to facing Oba Femi

“Honestly, it’s an awesome experience, Sarah.” Moose said. “In fact, every weight I’ve ever lifted, every flight I’ve ever boarded, every country I’ve ever been to, every championship I’ve ever won—prepared me for this moment. But like the great Bill Belichick says, ‘It’s just another day in the office.’ I’m not used to that because, in my universe, I usually get booed. But honestly, I’m just focused. And the job was to beat Lexis King.”

“He’s a tough competitor, but I showed him why I was once called a wrestling god. This is a matchup I’ve been looking forward to for a very long time. And I’ll be honest, I have a ton of respect for Oba Femi. In fact, he’s done a lot of great things in the last two years. But let’s be honest—without me, there wouldn’t be no Oba Femi. And at Roadblock at MSG, I’m gonna prove that to him. I’m also gonna make him trust The System.”

This week’s episode of NXT also featured the return of The Hardys. Catch up on everything that went down on the show here.
