Mike Santana wants to wrestle AJ Styles, but it has to be inside a TNA ring.
The former AEW star has been on a roll since leaving the company to sign with TNA. He has picked up some big wins, including over Josh Alexander in his final TNA match. He looks set to eventually challenge for the TNA World title, but would love to face AJ Styles even more.
Mike Santana recently spoke with MuscleManMalcolm and was asked who his dream match would be. He quickly named AJ Styles as the man he’d love to face but made it clear he wanted it in a TNA ring, not in the WWE.
“AJ Styles. I consider myself one of the homegrown talents from TNA, and AJ is the face of TNA. For me to go head-to-head with him, elevate myself, and learn from him, would be amazing. AJ Styles is definitely another dream match for me, and I want that in a TNA ring,” Santana said.
Mike Santana Is Targeting Joe Hendry’s TNA World Championship
Continuing, Mike Santana spoke about TNA World Heavyweight Champion Joe Hendry. Santana gave him a lot of respect for what he has done in TNA and his rise to the top. However, he warned Hendry that he was coming for the TNA World Championship in the near future.
“I don’t want to say his name because I’m already tired… nah, Joe’s been grinding for a long time. He’s been putting in a lot of work, and you have to respect someone who takes this craft seriously. I respect anyone who does that. To see his rise and get the opportunity to carry the ball, it’s all good in my book. Just know, there’s a target on your back. I am going after the TNA World Championship, no matter who has it.”
