Konosuke Takeshita will defend the gold in CMLL.
CMLL recently teased that AEW’s Konosuke Takeshita would be coming to the promotion. In an update, CMLL announced that Takeshita will defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against Angel de Oro at the CMLL event on February 28th. This will mark Takeshita’s debut.
Takeshita is also set to defend the AEW International Championship against Orange Cassidy on the February 28th episode of AEW Dynamite.
Takeshita is currently signed to AEW, NJPW, and DDT. He is scheduled to face Hiroshi Tanahashi at NJPW Windy City Riot in April.
