Report: Injury Update On NJPW’s HENARE

A new report provides an update on NJPW star HENARE, who has been sidelined in recent months.

HENARE and Great-O-Khan won the IWGP Tag Team Championship at NJPW Power Struggle. In December, HENARE suffered an injury, and he and Khan were forced to vacate their titles. HENARE last wrestled at the NJPW World Tag League event on December 5.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that it looks as if HENARE may be out of action for all of 2025. Per Sapp, HENARE was set for surgery in late December, but there is no word on how it went. Sapp writes that NJPW was expecting to not have HENARE for the duration of the year, though that will depend on his recovery.

HENARE is also a former NEVER Openweight Champion, and he has been a member of United Empire in recent years.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
