LA Knight Looks Back On His Feud With Logan Paul

LA Knight reflects on his feud with Logan Paul.

Knight and Paul first crossed paths ahead of WWE Money in the Bank 2023. They didn’t fully start feuding until the summer of 2024, and Knight ultimately defeated Paul to win the WWE United States Championship at WWE SummerSlam.

Speaking with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, LA Knight noted that working around Paul’s “limited schedule” allowed him to try some new things.

“WWE, anyway, was at least smart enough to be like, ‘“’Alright, we’re gonna hold on to that for a little bit, and do some distraction stuff,'” Knight said. “[Logan will] do some other stuff. I’ll do some other stuff, and then eventually bring it back, because as far back as even [WrestleMania 40], I’d done some meet and greet and I went out in the audience and just took the microphone out there and started talking to people.

“Every single person was like, “You gotta fight Logan Paul. You gotta take the US Championship”. And I’m like, “Okay, there’s something here. A lot of people want to see this.”

LA Knight On WWE-TNA Partnership

Knight recently shared his thoughts on WWE’s partnership with TNA while speaking on Casual Conversations With The Classic.

“My thoughts are it’s about five years too late,” he said. “It should have happened when I was there, then we could do the crossover stuff,” he joked. “It’s kind of cool. It’s unprecedented because even though I would say TNA has been a distant number two for a long time, they were still a number two.

“They were a threat for a little bit at least in the early 2010s maybe, and with that being the case, I think it’s really just crazy to fathom the idea that now there’s a working partnership. It’s just kind of another example how the landscape of the industry’s changed. We’re leading the way in that regard.”
