WWE SmackDown saw an increase in viewership on February 21.
According to Wrestlenomics (via Programming Insider), SmackDown averaged 1.736 million viewers on Friday. The show drew a 0.51 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode when an average of 1.384 million viewers tuned in. The demo rating also rose from last week’s show (0.42 rating in the same demographic).
The total viewership number marked SmackDown’s highest since its final episode on FOX on September 6. Friday’s demo rating marked SmackDown’s highest number since January 31st.
SmackDown ranked #1 in the 18 to 49 demographic on cable and broadcast on Friday.
What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?
This week’s show kicked off with Jimmy Uso picking up a big win over Drew McIntyre. Jimmy was attacked and laid out after the match by McIntyre.
The Rock and Cody Rhodes had a very long segment where Rock tells Rhodes that he wants his soul. Rock says he wants his answer next week at Elimination Chamber.
Elsewhere on the show, DIY and Pretty Deadly ended in a no-contest when The Street Profits interfered.
In the main event of the evening, Damian Priest and Braun Strowman defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
