Plans for the February 21st episode of WWE SmackDown have reportedly been reworked following the news that The Rock will appear.
On February 20th, WWE and The Rock announced that “The Final Boss” would appear on Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown. The news sparked a lot of buzz, as the last-minute nature of the news caught many fans by surprise.
WrestleVotes reports that plans for Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown have been reworked following the announcement. The report notes that there were rumblings that the match between Naomi and Liv Morgan, as well as the six-man tag match, were off.
Likewise, Fightful Select reported that “a number of matches” have been reworked following the announcement. WWE deleted the video in which Nick Aldis announced matches for Friday’s show. Sapp also writes that sources say that The Rock’s announcement was a “very late situation” to most in the company.
