TNA iMPACT Results:

This week’s episode of TNA iMPACT kicks off with a recap of last week’s show.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry is back in the ring for an encore concert. Hendry once again reiterates that he’ll defend the TNA World Championship against anyone and he wrote a song about it.

His concert is interrupted by The Colons for some reason. They go to attack Hendry but the lights go out and we get the TNA debut of Elijah (Elias). Santino Marella comes out and announces that Joe Hendry and Elijah will team up tonight to face The Colons in the main event.

Leon Slater is backstage with Gia Miller. Slater says The System sees him as a young boy and that’s not him. Leon says he has bigger plans in TNA. Slater says his mindset tonight is he’s going to earn the respect of The System and the TNA fans.

Gia Miller chases down The Colons backstage. They say TNA needs them and they’ve let the wrong people be on top of the company for too long.

The Rascalz (w/ Ace Austin) vs. Tyson and Tyriek (w/ Wes Lee)

  • The finish of the match saw Zachary Wentz hit Tyriek with a Swanton Bomb. Trey Miguel scored the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: The Rascalz

After the match, Wes Lee challenges The Rascalz and Ace Austin to a six-man tag team match at Sacrifice.

Grade: B

Good tag match. Solid work from both teams but you could kinda tell The Rascalz had to do most of the heavy lifting to make this match work.

Fir$t Cla$$ has a “talk show” segment now

AJ Francis and KC Navarro come out and introduce the Fir$t Cla$$ penthouse. It’s basically just a table on the stage. Francis is there with an entourage of men and women, including Frank The Clown and Noelle Foley. Francis says he’s upset that TNA hasn’t given them a shot at the TNA Tag Team Titles, the company attempted to pacify him with a Piper’s Pit show and he was good with that. AJ Francis says he’s always loved Rowdy Roddy Piper and that he hated Hulk Hogan before it was cool.

Francis teases that AJ Styles is the first guest on his show, but it’s actually just him instead. This kinda flopped badly. I can’t even lie… not great.

Rosemary vs. Lei Ying Lee

  • The finish of the match saw Lei Ying Lee hit Rosemary with Thunderstruck to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Lei Ying Lee

After the match, Rosemary attacks Lee and sprays her with mist.

Grade: B

Match didn’t get a ton of time. It was fine for what it was. I think it could have gotten a higher grade had it been given more time.

Tessa Blanchard has a hissy fit

Backstage the doctor is checking out Lei Ying Lee when Tessa Blanchard comes in insisting that she needs attention. The doctor blows her off multiple times telling her she’ll take care of her when he’s done with Lee. Blanchard says what she does later tonight is on him.

Eric Young and The Northern Armory come out. Young says he ran Josh Alexander out of TNA last week. Eric says The Northern Armory were boys with Alexander but with him, they will become men and win championships. Young calls Steve Maclin out to join him, but he doesn’t come out.

A video package plays from WWE NXT on Tuesday when Moose confronted NXT Champion Oba Femi.

JDC vs. Leon Slater

  • The finish of the match saw The System interfere to help get JDC the win.

Winner: JDC

After the match, The Hardys hit the ring to try and even the odds for Leon Slater. They are eventually joined by NXT Champion Oba Femi, who takes out everyone in The System except for Moose who ran away like a coward.

Grade: A-

This match was nuts. Leon Slater is a star and TNA should do everything they can to lock him down to a deal and secure him for years to come. He’s absolutely the future of this promotion and hopefully, they won’t let him go.

The System complains to Santino Marella about what just happened in the ring. Marella says The System will face The Hardys and Oba Femi next week.

Tessa Blanchard comes out on the stage and says she refuses to wrestle tonight. The crowd serenades her with chants of “Tessa, we coming for you” “She’s a racist” “Shut the f*ck up” and “Tessa the door.” Santino Marella comes out and tells Blanchard if she doesn’t wrestle next week she’ll be fired. The crowd chants “Please don’t wrestle.”

Masha Slamovich comes out and says she hopes Tessa wrestles next week because she eventually wants to get her hands on her and says she will take on Blanchard’s opponent tonight.

Masha Slamovich vs. Mila Moore

  • Masha Slamovich hits Mila Moore with Requiem to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Masha Slamovich

After the match, Cora Jade attacks Slamovich from behind and hits her with Jaded.

Grade: N/A

Very quick squash match. Blink and you missed it.

Backstage Santino Marella and Ariana Grace announce that Masha Slamovich will defend her Knockouts Championship at Sacrifice against Cora Jade. Heather and Ash by Elegance show up and complain about wanting a rematch for the Knockouts Tag Titles and Spitfire comes in and say they are happy to give them a rematch. Santino makes it official and the losing team will be the other’s personal concierge for 24 hours.

Ryan Nemeth comes out to announce that his big brother Nic Nemeth will return at TNA Sacrifice.

Joe Hendry and Elijah vs. The Colons

  • The finish of the match saw Elijah hit one of The Colons with a Tombstone Piledriver to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: Joe Hendry and Elijah

Grade: B+

Joe Hendry and Elijah celebrate their win as TNA iMPACT goes off the air.

TNA iMPACT Review:

While there were plenty of surprises tonight, this show wasn’t nearly as good as their live episode last month. That’s kind of disappointing to me. Luckily, the crowd made this show and was on fire all night long. Overall, the show was good… but not great.

Grade: B
