Goldberg circles the summer for his final match.
This year, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg will lace up his boots one last time for his official retirement match. As of now, his opponent has yet to be named. The timeframe for his final match, on the other hand, has now been made a little clearer.
“I feel like a trillion bucks. Whether it’s from the stuff that I altered my life prior or the stem cell treatment after a day. I feel like a million bucks, comparatively,” Goldberg said on CarCast (H/T Fightful). “You have to be logical, but it’s like you’re a racehorse again, and you’re being held in a stall, and you can’t come out for a period of time. I have a match sometime this summer.
“Don’t know exactly when it is, but I know it’s coming up and I know at 58 years old I have to be in my underwear in front of everybody and I hold a very high standard of myself,” he continued. “I need to get to work yesterday. The long-term benefit and the benefit for me in the ring will be much more if I just calm my ass down.”
In preparation for his summer 2025 swan song, Goldberg recently underwent stem cell treatment. Prior to that, he altered his eat habits and cut out Copenhagen Smokeless Tobacco, all in an effort to get himself in the best shape possible.
Goldberg, now 58 years old, last challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WWE’s 2022 Elimination Chamber premium live event, which emanated from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The exact date and location of Goldberg’s retirement has yet to be revealed.
