Carlito admits that he prefers the Triple H era of WWE “20 times more” than when Vince McMahon was in charge.
The Game took over the running of the WWE in 2022 after Vince McMahon “retired” from his role as chairman. Since then, the company has seen record profits, including signing a huge deal with Netflix to air Raw worldwide in recent months.
Carlito returned to the WWE in 2023 when Triple H was in charge. He has slotted in nicely to the programming. Carlito has become a key member of the Judgement Day and is enjoying himself much than if Vince McMahon was in charge.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Carlito revealed why he prefers WWE under Triple H over Vince McMahon. (H/T to WrestlingInc for the transcription)
“I don’t want to sound like a suck-up,” Carlito said. “If you say something bad when you’re not with the company you’re bitter, if you say something good you’re a suck-up, [but] I enjoy the Triple H era 20 times more.”
“He’s doing the youth movement, which wasn’t — they didn’t have that in the past. It doesn’t really help me out now, but I appreciate that’s the way the business is going. Just the backstage is different. I mean all the bullies are gone. I didn’t get bullied, it was still that kind of mentality, and just a lot of the toxicity is gone, you know what I mean? Backstage is like — it’s boring, but it’s a good boring.” Carlito added.
Carlito Reveals How He Perfected His Apple Spitting Technique
One of the veterans in the professional wrestling business is the Caribbean Cool Carlito. His iconic move is him spitting an apple on his opponents’ faces.
Recently, while speaking to Chris Van Vliet on his Insight podcast, Carlito revealed his apple-spitting technique. He mentioned that it is important to get the perfect chew to make sure the apple spit results in a spray and the apple sticks on his opponents’ faces.
“There’s actually a technique of spitting that people haven’t realized. You have to get the right amount of chew, because if you don’t chew it enough, when you spit it at someone, it’ll just be like big blocks and it’ll fall off. If you chew it too much, then it just gets too gooey and it won’t spray enough. But if you get it just right the way I do, you get that nice spray that just sticks all over their face and gets in the shirt and their hair. Lovely.”
