MJF and “Hangman” Adam Page had a heated confrontation on the February 19th episode of AEW Dynamite.
The former AEW World Champions have crossed paths a few times in recent weeks, and they finally faced off on Wednesday night. MJF noted that they previously clashed in the first match in AEW history at AEW Double or Nothing 2019, and he claimed that Page screwed him over. MJF stated that he climbed his way back up to the top, and he was better than Hangman.
Page said that MJF had won a lot, but the fans still didn’t love him. MJF fired back by criticizing how the fans chose who the good guys were. He cited some of the terrible things that Page had done, like setting Swerve Strickland’s house on fire, and said that fans still loved him anyway.
They continued to go back and forth. Page defended the name of Christopher Daniels when MJF brought him up. MJF said that Page had been propped up by AEW as the chosen one from the start. He said that Page hadn’t earned anything. MJF told Page to name one thing he did better than him, and Page said he was real. MJF spit in Hangman’s face, and officials held him back. Daniels got involved as well, and he told Page that “this” was what he was fighting for the whole time.
AEW later announced that MJF would face Page at AEW Revolution.
