Matt Hardy says “Deadpool & Wolverine” reminded him of his “Broken Matt” character.
Speaking on Grind City Wrestling, Matt Hardy was asked about his “Broken Matt” character. He looked back on the first year he did the character. Hardy also noted that “Deadpool & Wolverine” reminded him of his “Broken Matt” character.
“Broken Matt, the first year that I did Broken Matt in TNA, that was the most fun year of my career, no doubt, and I really wanted to think outside the box, do something very different,” he said. “I just watched ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, and it gave me so many flashbacks to the Broken Matt era, and that’s just what we were looking for. We were looking to be campy and break the fourth wall and do all those things. Broken Matt was so much fun.”
Hardy is one-half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions with his brother, Jeff Hardy. They are set to compete on the February 25th episode of WWE NXT.
