Steph De Lander is ready for the crazy.
This Thursday, TNA Wrestling will host a live edition of iMPACT from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. The university, of course, once served as the home of WWE NXT, which TNA is currently partnering with. In a new interview TV Insider, TNA Knockout Steph De Lander previewed TNA’s upcoming trip to Full Sail, which also includes television tapings on Friday.
“As a wrestling fan, it’s exciting,” De Lander said. “Even as a wrestler, I think people often forget we’re not privy to a lot of the stuff that is going on behind the scenes. So, when I check X and see Santino Marella is on NXT, I popped huge. None of us knew that was going to happen. That is exciting too to be in the wrestler’s shoes to see something new popping off and someone knew crossing over. I turn up to TNA and will see one of my coworkers who I haven’t seen in three years, and we get to catch up. That side of it is cool as well. It has never been a more exciting time to be in TNA or NXT.
“I think there are opportunities for both sides of it here,” she added. “It’s one of those wait and see what happens because I think a lot of crazy things will go down.”
TNA iMPACT will feature several matches this week, including a No Disqualification bout between JDC and Leon Slater and a Knockouts faceoff between Lei Ling Lee and Rosemary. Tessa Blanchard will also mark her first TNA iMPACT match in four years against a mystery opponent. As De Lander mentioned, there is also a possibility for NXT talents to appear on TNA, especially and TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella recently reached an agreement of some kind with NXT General Manager Ava.
