Steph De Lander Provides Update On Her Recovery From Neck Surgery

Steph De Lander is happy with her progress.

De Lander underwent neck surgery in October. Specifically, she had a fusion of the C5-C6 vertebrae, and she was set to miss at least six months. In recent weeks, De Lander has been featured on TNA television alongside Mance Warner.

Speaking with Scott Fishman for TV Insider, Steph De Lander was asked for an update about her recovery. She was also asked to comment on how Warner had been helping her.

“Mance was my literal angel,” Steph De Lander said. “I could not have done it without him. The level of care he gave me. Even down to the fact, my surgery was in Alabama. We had to drive eight hours to do the surgery and then drive back. We had to do this back-and-forth two or three times for follow-ups. He has come with me every time. Even being with me, but also getting me anything I need. Helping me with everything. He was my rock.

“As far as the recovery, I’m like three-and-a-half months since my surgery now. My last follow-up was last week. My surgeon was impressed how much new bone growth I’ve already had. It was unprecedented. We’ve ramped up the recovery, so I’ve implemented my weight-lifting. I’ve slowly started implementing CrossFit. Soon I’ll be back in the ring to do basic return to wrestling protocol. I’m very happy with how my progress is going.”
