WWE NXT Results:
The Ruler of NXT is Not Pleased
Femi says the four fools who attacked him last week made a mistake. They didn’t finish the job. Femi demands they come to the ring and try to end him now. Music no one has ever heard before plays. The lights go out, and TNA’s X-Division Champion and general all-around NICE GUY Moose appears. Moose says Femi can’t rule him. Femi tells Moose he’s inevitable. Moose screaches that this has to happen. Femi says it will.
Grade: B
Oba Femi is going to the main event, WrestleMania, one day… and then, there is Moose. This writer isn’t going to spend the next few pages going into why this is a terrible idea. It’s happening. It will be best to just close our eyes and think of baseball or something…
NXT Women’s North American Title Number One Contender’s Match: Jaida Parker vs. Karmen Petrovic w/Ashante “Thee” Adonis vs. Kelani Jordan
Parker controls much of the match early. The finish saw Parker send Jordan out of the ring with Hypnotiq. Parker lands the teardrop in the corner on Petrovic. Adonis pulls Petrovic out of the ring. Parker teardrops Jordan. While Parker high steps around the ring, Adonis rolls Petrovic back into the ring and pins Jordan.
Winner- Karmen Petrovic
After the match, Parker and Jordan fight off. Fatal Influence attacks Petrovic. Adonis tries to help but gets taken out from behind by Jayne with a chair. Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia try to make the save, but that doesn’t work. Jordynne Gace hits the ring and saves Giulia and Vaquer. Grace grabs a mic and challenges Fatal Influence to a match tonight.
Grade: C+
This wasn’t a bad match; it just managed to fall into all of the tropes that triple threats fall into. Specifically, someone has to disappear for minutes at a time so two people can work. If a more experienced person had led this, it could have worked. As it was constructed, it just didn’t. I’m not going to go on a rant here about Adonis watching his girl get jumped and then getting jumped by the same ladies who beat up his girl. They are playing in our faces during Black History Month, and I’m not feeling it.
Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson vs. Sol Ruca & Zaria
The Meta-Girls take turns working over Ruca early. Zaria gets a hot tag and trades power moves with Legend. Zaria eventually an F5. Ruca follows that with the Sol Snatcher on Jackson for the win.
Winners- Sol Ruca & Zaria
Grade: B
Fun match. Zaria and Legend both stood out here (as always). This writer doesn’t want to advocate for adding more titles, but unless they are actually going to have the women’s tag champs spend time in NXT, they need to go back to having their own tag titles.
NXT GM Ava makes her way to the ring for the contract signing.
The Revolution will be Televised
Ava welcomes the hottest free agent to NXT without saying his name. Ricky Starks says before he signs he wants to talk to us. Starks puts over NXT and says he’s the man in NXT. Right now, the revolution begins. Ethan Page interrupts. Page says Starks must have also asked for a title shot in his contract, just like he did when he first arrived. Starks says Page is wearing his insecurity like the tight @$$ jacket he’s wearing.
Starks tells Page he should be more worried about Je’Von Evans. Evans has that dog in em, so Starks tells Page that Evans will be back to whip Evans @$$. Before Page can respond, Evans hops the barricade and attacks Page. The two men fight off. Before Starks can sign the contract, Wes Lee walks to the ring. Lee wants a match with Starks. Starks says next week. Lee tries a cheap shot while Starks tries to sign his contract. Starks decks Lee and clotheslines him over the top. Starks finally signs his contract, and that camera pans down and reveals his name is Ricky Saints
Grade: B+
Ricky Saints is already off to a good start. Saints will thrive cooking fools on the mic on a weekly basis. Lee is a great first foil for Saints. A loss for Lee will not hurt him in any way.

Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo vs. Shawn Spears
Stacks starts hot, all over Spear. Spears takes control after a cheap shot. Stacks eventually fire up and lands a missile dropkick. Stacks hurt his neck in the process. The finish saw Spears counters a suplex into a patella buster into a C4 (Death Valley Driver) for the win.
Winner- Shawn Spears
Grade: B-
Weirdly fun match. It didn’t overstay its welcome and had the right finish. Spears is an odd challenger for D’Angelo, but if they are going to make us believe, Spears needs to break Don and his Family down to make anyone care about this conflict.
Eddy Thorpe vs. Andre Chase
Chase is on fire early, landing a few big moves. Thorpe takes over, but as Chase is getting beat down, students in Chase U students appear in the crowd to cheer on Chase. Chase fires up, and while he debates doing the Chase U stomp, Thorpe chopblocks Chase. Thorpe hits a DDT for the win.
Winner- Eddy Thorpe
After the match, Trick Williams appears on the ‘tron and says he’s not finished with Thorpe. If Williams has to go under, he’s taking Thorpe with him.
Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, and Jordynne Grace vs. Fatal Influence
Vaquer starts off with Henley. Henley traps Vaquer in the corner. FI takes turns working over Vaquer. Vaquer manages to escape the corner and land Eat d’feet. Giulia and Grace work over Nyx. Grace destroys Nyx with an Alabama slam, followed by a German suplex. This leads to a stalemate. All six women brawl. At the finish, Grace dropped Nyx with the Juggernaught Driver for the win.
Winners- Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, and Jordynne Grace
Backstage, a bunch of folks are laid out, including Mr. Stone, who is found by Ava. “No one is safe” is painted on the wall in red.
Grade: B
This was a heck of a match. Fatal Influence is coming into its own as a heel team, but they HAVE. TO START WINNING MATCHES. It’s the strangest thing. When they are together, their win/loss record is abysmal.
WWE NXT Review
NXT continues to mix solid in-ring performances with compelling storytelling, setting up some intriguing feuds heading into the next major event. Oba Femi’s feud with Moose, Ricky Saints’ debut, and the continued rise of Sol Ruca and Zaria were highlights. If they tighten up a few weaker storylines and give some underutilized factions a boost (turns and looks at Fatal Influence), NXT could hit an even higher level in the coming weeks. Also… who will be taken out next by this mystery faction? Let us know what you think in the comments!
