WWE Hall of Famer Booker T says Ricky Starks showed him something from a promo side. Now, he’s interested to see what Starks brings to NXT.
Starks made a surprise appearance on the February 11th episode of NXT. He appeared in the crowd and cut a promo. Starks is set to sign his contract on the February 18th episode.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T shared his thoughts on Ricky Starks joining NXT.
“He’s showing up, and he hasn’t said his name yet, so I’m not gonna step on that. But I do know this certain guy, this unexpected entrant into NXT is gonna be signing a contract [on NXT]. I’m very, very interested. I said just last week, I said this guy needs to show me something, he needs to show me something.
“My thing is, I always want to see what these guys are really all about, just like when Ethan Page came in. I think I said the same thing about him. When [Starks] came in, he showed me something from a promo side, too. I was like, wow, man. The crowd seems to dig this kid. So I’m really, really interested to see exactly what he brings to NXT.”
