Mick Foley has named the four wrestlers he would put on his wrestling version of ‘Mount Rushmore’.
The WWE Hall of Famer is among one of the greatest of all time. He has won multiple WWE Championships and wrestled in all the major companies in wrestling throughout the 1990s and 2000s. He has also wrestled some of the all-time greats.
In conversation with Monopoly Events, Mick Foley spoke about the wrestlers he’d put on his Mount Rushmore, including three he’s wrestled himself. The former WWE Champion named Terry Funk and Shawn Michaels as the first two. They are widely regarded as two of the all-time greats, with both men being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Mick Foley’s third choice was the English wrestler Dynamite Kid. Tom Billington was a pioneer in wrestling, with his matches against Tiger Mask in Japan creating a whole new style of wrestling that nobody had ever seen before.
His final pick was Bruiser Brody, who was known as one of the best brawlers of all time, if not tough to work with at times. He was tragically stabbed to death in a locked room in Puerto Rico in 1988. He was the only one of the four that Foley never got to wrestle, but was a huge fan.
“You know, sometimes it does change,” Mick Foley said. “I put Terry Funk on there. And I put Shawn Michaels on there. I put Tommy Billington, The Dynamite Kid. And because I’m a big fanatic of brawling, I put Bruiser Brody on there as well.”
