Mickie James has revealed the legend that inspired her and the one she would love to coach on WWE LFG if given the chance.
The former WWE Women’s Champion is one of the “legends” on the new WWE show on A&E. She sits alongside The Undertaker, Bubba Ray Dudley and Booker T as they attempt to coach sixteen future stars to WWE greatness.
Speaking with Going Ringside to promote the show, Mickie James was asked which legend of wrestling she’d love to coach on the show if given the chance. She quickly named Sensational Sherri as who she’d pick, calling Sherri her “all-time favorite”.
“If I could coach one legend, wow, oh my gosh, I would say I would love—I would have loved—to [coach] Sensational Sherri.” Mickie James said.
“As far as women go, she was my all-time favorite. Her and Macho Man Randy Savage. If I could have sat underneath their learning tree, if I could have just been in the same space and time to have shared any sort of moment of wrestling with them, I would have lost my mind. I think I would have—I would have been a complete fangirl. It would have been embarrassing, but it was fine. I would have been okay with that.”
Mickie James Comments On Potential WWE Hall Of Fame Induction
Mickie James says it would be cool to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame someday.
James had a successful run in WWE across two stints. She is a five-time WWE Women’s Champion and a former Divas Champion. James is a five-time champion in TNA as well.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Mickie James was asked whether a potential WWE Hall of Fame induction was something that she thought about.
“I don’t like to think about it honestly,” she said. “Because then what if it doesn’t happen? I’d never be disappointed because there’s a long list of people that can and will go into the Hall of Fame. I feel like I will go in hopefully one day. But I don’t want to think about it, I don’t want to jinx it. Because what if it doesn’t happen? Hopefully while I’m still on this side of the earth, that would be cool.”
