Unsanctioned Match Set For WWE Elimination Chamber

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens will clash at WWE Elimination Chamber.

Kevin Owens previously attacked Sami Zayn and hit him with a package piledriver on the February 3rd episode of WWE RAW. Zayn was briefly sidelined, but he returned on the February 17th episode of WWE RAW. Zayn addressed Owens’ attack and noted that it was not the first time Owens took him out, but this time was different. He then responded to Owens saying that he’d be in Toronto for WWE Elimination Chamber by stating that he’d be there too, and he wanted to fight.

RAW General Manager Adam Pearce came out and refused to book the match. He said that Sami Zayn was not cleared to compete. Zayn refused to take no for an answer. Pearce ultimately agreed to give him an Unsanctioned Match against Owens. The match was then confirmed for WWE Elimination Chamber.
