Sami Zayn Returns
Zayn notes it’s been a rough few weeks. He’s spent a lot of time over the last few weeks thinking about his history with Kevin Owens. There haven’t been two men whose careers have been more intertwined. There will be no forgetting or forgiving this time. This wasn’t about making a point or winning a title. Owens tried to end Zayn’s career. The problem is Owens didn’t get the job done. Zayn heard Owens say he would be at the Elimination Chamber.

Raw GM Adam Pearce interrupts. Pearce says no matter how badly everyone wants this match, Zayn is not medically cleared. The answer is no. Pearce walks away. Zayn tells Pearce this time is different, and he isn’t taking no for an answer. Zayn refuses to leave the ring until he gets what he wants. Pearce can’t sanction this match. Zayn doesn’t care about the consequences. Pearce books an unsanctioned match between Zayn and Owens at Elimination Chamber.
Grade: B+
Great segment. Zayn sold the importance of getting his hands on Owens. Though this is the 678775th time these two have feuded, it still seems important. There has been a ton of discourse around this match happening at EC, but this could still end at WrestleMania.
AJ Styles vs. Dominik Mysterio w/Carlito
Styles is in control early. Dominik takes over after some help from Carlito. After the break, Styles fires up and hits his finish for the win.
Winner- AJ Styles
After the match, Bron Breakker tries to sneak attack Styles and ends up Spearing Dominik. Styles kicks Breakker in the head and tosses him out of the ring. Breakker tosses his shirt at Styles. Styles catches the shirt like a pimp.
Grade: B-
Standard stuff here. Dominik seems to be tasked with working with every returning superstar. Dominik is a great foil for any babyface at this point. Styles played the hits and got the win. This Breakker/Styles feud will feed families, for sure. Hopefully, this is a Mania match and not at EC.
Women’s Intercontinental Championship No.1 Contender Match: Dakota Kai vs. Ivy Nile
The Women’s IC Champ, Lyra Valkyria, is at ringside to watch the match. Kai dominates most of the match, even hitting the Kairopractor for a near fall. Nile fires back with a few power moves, but Kai counters into the GTK for the win.
Winner- Dakota Kai
Grade: C+
Good TV match. This was a bit of a weird one. Based on the setup, you would have thought that Nile was heading for a clash with Valkyria, but that is clearly not true. Either option would have worked, but does this mean Nile ends up battling Valkyria Mania? It would be nice to see Kai win a singles title. But there is no way she is going over Valkyria.
The Ring General!
World Heavyweight Gunther enters through the crowd, mocking Jey Uso, and hits connection with the crowd. As Gunther gets to ringside, he accosts Pat McAfee for cheering on Jey Uso. Jey Uso makes the save.
Grade: B
Gunther is great on the mic. He is effortlessly hatable and going after McAfee.
Penta vs. Pete Dunne
Dunne starts hot working over Penta. Penta surprises Dunne with a leapfrog into a backstabber. The fight spills out of the apron. Dunne escapes a DVD attempt from Penta and snaps his fingers. Dunne facebuster Penta on the apron. Ludwig Kaiser walks down to ringside. Penta fires up and sends Dunne flying with diving head scissors, followed by a DVD. Kaiser hops up on the apron. Penta sends Dunne into Kaiser, knocking him off the apron. Penta hits the Pentagon Driver on Dunne for the win.

Winner- Penta
After the break, Kaiser attacks Penta. Dunne pulls Kaiser out of the ring. Dunne and Kaiser argue. Penta takes out both men with a dive.
Grade: B+
Kaiser vs. Penta vs. Dunne is going to SLAP when it happens.
WWE Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Roxanne Perez vs. Raquel Rodriguez w/Liv Morgan
Perez dips and dodges but is eventually run over by Morgan’s bodyguard. The bodyguard tosses Perez all over the ring. Perez fires up and lands a dive, followed by a double jump springboard moonsault for a near fall. Rodriguez catches Perez with a big boot. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi run down to ringside and attack Liv Morgan. In the confusion, Perez surprises Rodriguez with Pop Rocks for the win!
Winner- Roxanne Perez
Grade: B
This one was initially predictable but was fun to watch. Perez was out here bumping like Mr. Perefect to make this match feel like it meant something. Perez is an amazing talent, but not even the Prodigy could make Rodriguez interesting.
Oh, Look, It’s The New Day… Booooooo!
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods try to address what happened with Rey Mysterio last week, but the crowd will not let them say anything without booing them. Woods and Kingston dump on Mysterio and say the crowd should be happy they didn’t take him out back and give him the Old Yeller treatment. The LWO hits the ring and stomps out Kingston and Woods.
Grade: B+
Watching Woods and Kingston get booed is so much fun. The heel New Day just works. It was time for them to get a bit of comeuppance, so having them get stomped tonight made sense. Does this end with Mysterio and *mystery partner* vs. Woods and Kingston at Mania?
WWE Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Seth Rollins vs. Finn Bálor
Bálor attacks Rollins before the bell rings. Rollins tries to fire back but eats a Pedigree from Bálor. Bálor misses a double stomp of the top. Rollins floors Bálor with a clothesline. Bálor and Rollins trade strikes. Rollins lands a dive. Bálor avoids The Stomp. Slingblade by Bálor. Rollins goes low and works over Bálor’s leg. The fight spills out of the ring. Bálor ends up laid out on the ring steps. Rollins misses a Stomp on the steps. Bálor pushes Rollins into the ring post. Rollins eventually reverses a crossface into the Stomp for the win.
Winner- Seth Rollins
Grade: B+
Great match. Bálor and Rollins have impeccable chemistry, which was on full display tonight. There were so many close, near falls in this one that you couldn’t help but get wrapped up in who would walk away from this the winner.
WWE Raw Review:
This was a very good episode of Raw with strong in-ring action, compelling promos, and meaningful storyline progression. The show kept a steady pace and had minimal filler, which helped maintain this writer and everyone watching attention. Zayn vs. Owens, Rollins vs. Bálor, and the Gunther/Jey confrontation stood out as the best segments. What do you think will happen on the final Raw before Elimination Chamber?
