Toni Storm reigns supreme once again.
At AEW Grand Slam: Australia, Toni Storm challenged Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Championship. The two foes clashed in the main event, and in the end, Storm defeated May to win the gold. In doing so, she became a four-time champion. This is an AEW record, as Storm and Hikaru Shida had been tied for the most with three reigns each.
May previously beat Storm to win the title at AEW All In in August. She held the title for 174 days. Storm returned after some time away at AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming and eventually earned a title shot by winning the Women’s Casino Gauntlet at AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage.
