Layla El had a FLAWLESS response to Michelle McCool earning a Hall Of Fame induction.
McCool was named as the latest WWE Hall Of Fame inductee on Friday. Her LayCool partner, Layla El, wrote the following response on Twitter, sharing how proud she was of her friend for achieving the honor.
“What wonderful news today! No one is more deserving of this recognition and accomplishment,” Layla wrote. “I’m truly so happy for you, Chelle! Everyone, please show your love to Michelle—she’s incredible and so dear to me. ❤️ #WellDeserved #Proud”
Layla El is open to a LayCool reunion
Layla has not been seen in a WWE ring since 2015. She retired from wrestling, but many fans still remember her run as LayCool with McCool and speculate about a comeback.
Layla was the one who actually defeated McCool to send her into (her initial) retirement, but she can see the pair getting back together in the future. Layla appeared on the No Name Wrestling Podcast where she discussed a potential return to the WWE. She said there is a chance she will come back before she gets too old and would love to reunite as LayCool.
“Yeah, now there is,” Layla said. “Before, absolutely 100% no, I was not open to anything, I wanted a break, I wanted to get away. But now? Absolutely. Before I get too old and I can’t come back and do anything, yeah, one more time. I would honestly come back to do a LayCool reunion. If that is possible and that is something that could happen, why not? It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. We had a lot of fans when we were together. I would love to reunite with my best friend just one more time.”
