Mercedes Moné Is Forever Grateful To Amazing Red For Believing In Her

AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné is set to make a rare independent wrestling appearance at House of Glory next month.

In the latest issue of the MonéMag, Mercedes Moné wrote about her upcoming appearance with House of Glory where she’ll make her in-ring debut with the promotion.

“Hey everyone! Right after my signing at New York Big Event, I’m beyond excited to share that I’ll be making my in-ring debut with House of Glory on March 15th,” Mercedes Moné wrote. “It feels surreal to be taking this Moné train globally and diving into opportunities that truly make my heart flutter.

“House of Glory holds a special place in my heart—I’ve been a part of this family for the past 10 years. Now, I get to step into the ring and showcase everything I’ve worked for and learned from HOG and Amazing Red.

“This year is packed with so much potential, and I can’t wait to see who’s ready to jump on this ride with me. I still remember the first time I stepped into House of Glory. It was the week leading up to Brooklyn, and I was buzzing with nerves and excitement. At the time, I asked my husband where the best place to train in New York was.

“He mentioned Amazing Red at HOG (House of Glory) or Brian Myers and Pat Buck at Create-A-Wrestler. As a teenager, I was a HUGE fan of Amazing Red. I looked up to him so much, and I had all these wild ideas for my match in Brooklyn—ideas I’d never seen any woman do before. I wanted to break barriers and create something unforgettable.

“HOG was closer to my hotel, so I went there, heart racing. My face lit up like a Christmas tree when I finally met Red. I couldn’t stop smiling! I spilled all my crazy ideas for Brooklyn, hoping he wouldn’t think I was out of my mind. To my relief, he didn’t—well, maybe just a little! His main concern was whether WWE would allow me to pull off those moves. But deep down, I believed I could do it. He believed in me, too, and that meant everything.

“Red taught me everything I wanted to learn. I left those sessions feeling empowered and ready to change the game with my match. I’ll forever be grateful to Red for believing in me and giving me a space to explore my wildest dreams. Learning from him has been an absolute joy, and I can’t wait to step into the ring for House of Glory on March 15.”
