Mercedes Moné Explains Why She Won’t Say Who She Wants To See AEW Sign Anymore

Mercedes Moné has learned her lesson when it comes to publicly campaigning for certain talents to be signed to All Elite Wrestling.

Since joining AEW, Mercedes Moné has made public pitches for multiple talents to join the company. None of these have ended up coming to fruition as all of them ended up in WWE.

During a Q&A session today on social media, Moné explained why she no longer says who she wants to see AEW hire publicly, tweeting out:

“If I listed the people I wanted in AEW The other place would sign them *teacup emoji* #aewceo #AEWGrandSlam,” Mercedes Moné said in a post.

This theory from The CEO also seemingly extends to music artists. Shortly after Moné publicly pitched the idea of working with Megan Thee Stallion in AEW, one of her songs became the official theme of WWE SmackDown.

Mercedes will defend her TBS Championship this Saturday at AEW Grand Slam Australia against Harley Cameron. WrestleZone will have the results of the show this weekend after the show airs.
