Here comes the Ax, and here comes the Smasher, Demolition is back in the fold at WWE.
Three-time WWE Tag Team Champions Demolition have been on the outside looking in with WWE for quite some time. But it appears the new leadership regime has changed things.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE has signed both Ax (Bill Eadie) and Smash (Barry Darsow) to Legends contracts.
The duo was consistently erased from history when Vince McMahon was in charge of WWE due to legal battles in the past over the rights to their name and the team being involved in a CTE lawsuit against the company.
It’s clear things have shifted with Vince McMahon and Nick Khan running things. This Legends deal will not only open up the possibility of things like action figures and video games but a Hall of Fame induction as well.
Many fans have been asking WWE to induct Demolition into the Hall of Fame for years now. With this Legends deal being signed, it’s closer to a reality now than ever before.
