Meiko Satomura will retire later this year, but there’s a current WWE Superstar she’d like to have one more match with before she does.
Back in 2021, Meiko Satomura successfully defended the NXT UK Women’s Championship against Lyra Valkyria. Years later, Satomura believes the newly crowned Women’s Intercontinental Champion deserves to step into the ring against her one more time.
Satomura took to social media to respond to a recent interview Valkyria had with Sam Roberts where she told fans to check out their previous encounter in 2021, tweeting out:
“Ohhhh *smiling face with open mouth emoji* valkyria *flame emoji* I wanted to have one more match before my retiring!! @Real_Valkyria,” Satomura said in a post.
Meiko Satomura is still listed on the active roster of the WWE website, so this is a matchup that could absolutely happen at some point this year.
As of this writing, Lyra Valkyria has yet to respond to Satomura’s post.
