WWE Announces NXT Roadblock TV Taping At The Theatre At MSG On March 11

NXT is going to the Garden.

WWE confirmed a special Roadblock edition of NXT will take place Tuesday, March 11 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The show will air live on The CW starting at 8 pm ET.

This will mark the fourth Roadblock event under the NXT banner. WWE debuted Roadblock as a pay-per-view event in March of 2016. The event theme returned in December of the same year, this time with the subtitle “Roadblock: End Of The Line.” NXT revived the event name in 2022, hosting the event in March for the past three consecutive years.

Tickets for the Roadblock edition of NXT will go on sale this Friday, February 14 at 10 am ET/7 am PT via Ticketmaster. Fans can also take part in an exclusive pre-sale by using the code NXTLIVE starting on Wednesday, February 12 at 10 am ET/7 am PT. The pre-sale runs until Thursday, February 13 at 11:59 pm ET/8:59 pm PT.

PWInsider.com previously reported WWE was planning an NXT TV taping at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden on March 11, the night after RAW takes place inside the main arena at MSG. Fightful (via Fightful Select) later confirmed the date was internally scheduled for NXT.

NXT will be on the road this weekend for its Vengeance Day Premium Live Event in Washington, D.C. on February 15. NXT also announced a “special edition” of its show will take place in Cincinnati on February 25.

Ethan Page highlights the benefits of NXT going on the road

Ethan Page spoke with WrestleZone about the benefits of taping NXT on the road. Page, a former NXT Champion highlighted the benefits of getting outside of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

“I think the run that we’re on now and the talent we have going and the engagement with the fans, these venues are perfect. It’s the right amount of people coming to make the right amount of noise, the right atmosphere.”

Page wants to entertain everyone that he can, but getting to see his friends around the country is a perk too. Page said that seeing more of the NXT Universe is a bonus because the roster gets to see crowds that aren’t used to seeing them live every week like the ones in Orlando.

“And I’m happy we’re on the road because I want to see what people feel from watching the show. Doing the show in Orlando every single week, you almost become familiar with the faces you see in the audience. So it’s great to hit the road and get the reactions of people that have just been watching on television for however long they’ve been watching. It’s awesome to get their response and for them to let out what they’ve been feeling after watching our show.”
