LA Knight: It’s OK To Cry, It’s Good For Your Mental Health, It Doesn’t Make You Less Of A Man

LA Knight shared an important message about mental health on the latest episode of Smackdown.

The former United States Champion cut a promo on Smackdown, starting a rivalry with Drew McIntyre. The most reported part of the promo was LA Knight “getting my stuff in”, a reference to reports that Drew McIntyre stormed out of the building following the Royal Rumble match.

However, a more important snippet from his promo was LA Knight’s discussion about mental health.

Before the aforementioned line, LA Knight addressed the camera and the crowd directly. He said that he wanted to effect good change in his life, and spoke to all the men and the boys in the audience.

LA Knight then told them that crying doesn’t make you less of a man, adding that shedding tears is actually good for your mental health.

“Let me just say this, in my life, in my career, I want to be somebody who effects good change before I die,” LA Knight said.

“So I’m going to speak to all the men, all the boys… I mean this from the bottom of my heart, if something arises in your life that hits you in the feels and you have to cry, let it out. It’s good for your mental health, it doesn’t make you any less of a man.”

Unfortunately, he did end the promo by saying that Drew McIntyre would be “crying like a baby”, which rather took away the sincerity of his previous message.
