Gerald Brisco found another glorious shed treasure.
Brisco began his wrestling career back in the early 1960s. He signed with WWE in 1984 and stayed with the company up until 2020. Brisco is a former NWA Light Heavyweight Champion, a former WWE Hardcore Champion, and many more. In the latter part of his wrestling career, the WWE Hall of Famer was a backstage producer.
Recently, Gerald Brisco shared an old fax from a ‘Shithead’ which was detailing the agenda for a WWE show. For a while now, Gerald Brisco has been sharing posts on his Twitter using the hashtag #shedtreasures. The posts have all been a trip down memory lane highlighting some of the key moments in the WWE Hall of Famer’s career. He also shares a lot of the behind-the-scenes stories and old merchandise he’s kept over the years.
Adding to his list of behind-the-scenes tweets, Brisco shared a fax from December of 1996. The fax was of two pages of promotional suggestions which were submitted by someone only addressed as “shithead.”
Brisco wasn’t just having a laugh at the author’s expense, the fax header actually says “This is your fax from shithead.”
Brisco did not mention who he received the fax from, but many fans speculated it was from Vince Russo, who worked for WWE at the time.
Jim Cornette offers another clue
Jim Cornette offered another clue about the author of the list, sharing that he sent the fax on behalf of the previously mentioned shithead. Cornette admitted he wrote the customized header sent to Brisco, adding another hint that Vince Russo wrote the original list.
“Let me remove doubt: This was faxed from me to @FGBrisco and others after I found out you could customize who your fax machine said it was from. The author of these pages later switched from a “head” to a “stain”. NOW guess who wrote them,” Cornette wrote.
Cornette has never been shy about his disdain for Russo and once challenged him to a shoot fight. Years ago, Russo filed an order of protection against Cornette, who autographed physical copies of the order and sold them off for charity.
