Dustin Rhodes Explains Why He Doesn’t Want Another Match With Cody Rhodes

Dustin Rhodes and Cody Rhodes have written their last chapter together from an in-ring standpoint.

All Elite Wrestling‘s Dustin Rhodes was a recent guest on Busted Open Radio. When asked if there’s another chapter to his story he’d like to write his brother, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Dustin said he wouldn’t want to try to duplicate or do better than what he and his brother did together at the first Double or Nothing.

“A lot of people have asked me that, and not necessarily, man. I’ve done so much stuff with Cody already,” Dustin Rhodes said. “We had our really good match together. I can’t and would not try to duplicate that or even try to better that. I don’t want to mess with that at all. And Cody has moved on and transcended me in this business, and is doing such a fantastic job.

“I think anything with me involved in the mix, would just bring it down. And that’s my true, honest opinion on it. Cody’s rise to fame here has been exponential, man. It’s been unbelievable to watch, and I’m sure Dad is very proud of him and proud of both of us, but it feels like I’m the one left out because I haven’t got the world title and I still want it.

“I still do want it and I know there’s an opportunity for me to maybe get it before I retire, I really do. I really believe that. Is it good business? I think so because I can work as a working champion, as long as you want, and do just as good a job as anybody else in our business.”
