Sami Zayn will be sidelined for the foreseeable future.
On the February 3rd episode of WWE RAW, CM Punk defeated Sami Zayn in an Elimination Chamber qualifier, and Kevin Owens attacked Zayn after the match. He hit Zayn with a package piledriver, and Zayn was stretchered out after the match.
WWE provided an update on Zayn on the February 7th episode of WWE SmackDown. Joe Tessitore stated that Zayn would be out indefinitely, as he had spinal compression and extreme nerve damage due to Owens’ attack.
