Kevin Owens attacked Sami Zayn on the February 3rd episode of WWE RAW, and he provided an explanation for his actions.
At WWE Royal Rumble, Zayn came out to the ring while Owens challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Championship. Rhodes slammed Owens through a ladder, and doctors checked on him after the match. Owens then viciously attacked Zayn on WWE RAW and hit him with a piledriver.
In a tweet, Kevin Owens sent a message to Sami Zayn. He said that they had been through a lot together, but nothing like what happened at WWE Royal Rumble. Owens pointed to the scars that he had after the match, and he noted that he had physical trauma that you couldn’t see. He said this pain would probably never go away. Owens blamed Zayn, as he said it was all his fault because Sami watched.
He claimed that Rhodes was trying to end his career, and Zayn did nothing. Owens then said that Zayn rushed to help Roman Reigns during the Royal Rumble match, whereas Zayn did nothing to help him. Owens called Zayn a “horrible friend” and a “disgusting human being”, and he would never forgive him. Owens vowed to make Zayn pay.
