Jey Uso Calls Out Cody Rhodes On WWE SmackDown, Teases WrestleMania Match

Jey Uso teased potentially facing Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at WWE WrestleMania 41 when they spoke on WWE SmackDown.

Uso came to the ring on the February 7th episode of WWE SmackDown, just days after he won the Men’s Royal Rumble to earn a title shot at WrestleMania 41. He invited Rhodes to the ring, and he noted that he could choose to face Rhodes. Uso said that would mean a lot to him, but standing next to him as a fellow world champion would be special as well.

Rhodes made it clear that he was proud of Uso. He referenced their memorable press conference after they won the tag team titles. Rhodes said that this was Jey’s WrestleMania, and they had some good moments, so they could have some more. However, if Uso chose to face him at WrestleMania, they wouldn’t be able to have fun together, as he said that he had to win at WrestleMania. They shook hands, but they were interrupted by Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga.

Fatu told Rhodes that his family needed the title back, and Uso wasn’t the member of the family who would get that done. Uso and Rhodes then brawled with Sikoa and Tonga, and the fan-favorite duo stood tall.

WWE later announced that the two teams would clash in a tag team match in the main event.
