Cedric Alexander is no longer with WWE.
In a tweet on February 7th, Cedric Alexander wrote, “Thank you for the last 8 1/2 years. Being a professional wrestler has been a dream of mine since I could form memories and I will continue to do so til the good Lord says otherwise. #SeeYouIn90.”
It’s currently unclear whether Alexander’s contract expired or if he was released.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Alexander was released.
Alexander has been with WWE since 2016, when he competed in the Cruiserweight Classic. He went on to win the Cruiserweight Championship. He had a prominent run as a member of The Hurt Business alongside MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin. Alexander and Benjamin won the RAW Tag Team Championship together. He moved to NXT in July 2024 and later aligned with Je’Von Evans. Alexander last wrestled on the January 28th episode of WWE NXT, where he lost to Ethan Page.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
