Kevin Owens Hints At WWE Contract Extension

Kevin Owens seemingly hints that he might be staying with WWE for the foreseeable future.

In a tweet, Owens wrote that if everyone helped support his daughter’s Girl Scout Troop by buying some cookies, he promised to “keep wrestling for at least 4 years, 11 months and 22 days more.”

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported in October that it was believed that Kevin Owens had already re-signed with WWE. Before that, in an interview in August, Owens said that he had less than six months left on his contract.

The feud between Owens and Cody Rhodes came to a head at WWE Royal Rumble. There, Rhodes beat Owens in a Ladder Match to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. Owens then attacked Sami Zayn on the following episode of WWE RAW.

Kevin Owens On His Contract

In December, Owens commented on his contract status while speaking with Alex McCarthy of Daily Mail.

“I don’t think anything is sorted for those shows yet,” Kevin Owens said. “Obviously knowing WWE and knowing how important this is being made for everyone here, this is clearly a big deal to them. Hitting all these European towns and cities back-to-back for three weeks in a row with TV there and big live events. It is a big deal.”

“I just want to be happy. But I can’t tell you what that means exactly, because I don’t actually know it either. I just want to feel fulfilled,” Kevin Owens said. “There is a lot that goes into that. It is more intricate than we have time to get into.”
