The Hurt Syndicate faction made a seamless transition to AEW after The Hurt Business storyline ended prematurely in WWE.
All Elite Wrestling‘s The Hurt Syndicate were recent guests on Mostly Sports with Mark Titus and Brandon Walker. When asked why this group has worked so well across multiple companies, MVP pointed out the fact that the group is organic and they are all legitimately friends.
“Because it’s organic. It’s very real,” MVP said. “All of us we’ve been friends for a very long time. We worked together across different companies, across different countries. I mean, you can say what you want about professional wrestling being scripted and sports entertainment. But when it comes to us, we’re legitimate athletes, we’re legitimate combat athletes, and we’re legitimately friends. It’s real.”
When asked what they’ve been enjoying about being in AEW so far, Benjamin pinpointed the fan’s reaction to their group being a highlight for him.
“Well, one thing I’m enjoying the most is just the fan’s reaction to us,” Shelton Benjamin admitted. “Because, again, we’ve been in this game a long time. We’ve all worked hard, bust our butts. And to see fans take to us, especially in AEW as The Hurt Syndicate is a breath of fresh air.
“It’s revitalizing. It honestly is what we knew should have been happening elsewhere, and now that it’s here, it’s even more sweet, because we’re showing the world exactly what they should have got at the other place, but only even better here.”
When asked if they will ever get over The Hurt Business being ended prematurely in WWE, Lashley insists there’s no resentment there.
“We don’t have any resentment,” Bobby Lashley said. “We know we have, we’re showing it right now. So no resentment. We have a good time with it.”
