Toni Storm played some mind games with AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May on the February 5th episode of AEW Dynamite.
Storm was scheduled to face Queen Aminata in a match where May would be on commentary. When Storm made her entrance, it was announced that she would be “playing the role” of May. She then came out to May’s entrance music, and she was dressed just like Mariah. Storm proceeded to mimic May’s mannerisms and act as if she was her.
Storm also used May’s own moves throughout the match, including her own Mayday finisher to score the win.
After the match, Renee Paquette interviewed Toni Storm, and she continued to play the role as she referred to herself as Mariah May. May confronted Storm, but the champion walked away, and Toni continued to mock her.
Storm will challenge May for the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Grand Slam Australia.
