Fandango is feeling grateful after he made his shocking return to NXT.
The TNA star, who now goes by JDC, interrupted Lexis King on last night’s episode of NXT. He entered to his classic Fandango theme music and Titantron, as the fans danced and sang along to the music.
He challenged Lexis King for the Heritage Cup, in a match that is set to take place next week. This will be Fandango’s first match in NXT since he was released in 2021, alongside his former tag team partner Tyler Breeze.
Speaking in an NXT Exclusive, Fandango addressed his return to WWE. The TNA star said that he is grateful to be back.
“NXT means the world to me. To be back tonight… man, just goosebumps. I can’t get over it. I’m grateful—truly grateful.” Fandango said. “Well, I’ve been an unpredictable figure my entire career, so what happens when two unpredictable guys get together? I mean, you don’t predict it, right? Anyway, I’m going to go fix my shoes.”
Fandango also commented on his appearance on Twitter by referencing his old catchphrase as “Dirty” Johnny Curtis.
“Let’s get Weird”.
