Chelsea Green: I Need A Feud With Tiffany Stratton, I’d Love For It To Be For My Title

Chelsea Green has her sights set on a match with one of WWE’s top champions.

Green continues to reign as the WWE Women’s United States Champion, and she’s eager to face the best competition WWE has to offer,

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Chelsea Green made it clear that she wanted to work with WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.

“I need a feud with Tiffy. I don’t know who’s the ‘good guy’, who’s the ‘bad guy’, whatever. But she’s so talented, and I love that she’s homegrown, but now put her in the ring with an indie girl. I’m putting up me. It doesn’t need to be with the championship, but I would love for it to be with my championship.

When asked whether she thought it would happen right away, Green noted that she didn’t think so, but she wanted to push the envelope and get the company to think outside of the box.

“No, but that’s why I’m here to say it,” Chelsea Green said. “We’re so stuck in the routine of getting to work and let’s put together the storyline that makes sense in that moment. But let’s think outside of the box and let’s think what we can do down the road.”

Chelsea Green On Divas Open Challenge

Green has previously expressed her interest in holding an Open Challenge where she would face former WWE divas. She discussed the possibility in a recent interview with Cultaholic, as she named some potential opponents.

Kelly Kelly, Nikki Bella, Beth Phoenix, Michelle McCool, Layla. I love Layla, I would love if Layla would come. Honestly, I could go on forever – Alicia Fox,” Green said. “We’ve just got so many amazing women who can still go and they’re still young. These women got into wrestling really, really young so I think it would be a cool moment for the audience to witness that. I think it’s a far-fetched idea but it’s not impossible.”

“For me, when I think about ‘Diva’ there’s no negative connotation to it because I loved them,” Green continued. “I think they are strong women with sex appeal and, if I’m being honest, that’s what I aspire to be. So I am totally okay being called a Diva, however I do understand why we’ve transitioned. The men aren’t called something ridiculous, they don’t have a name for them, they’re just the men. If we want to be equal counterparts, we’ve got to be the women. That’s what we’re doing but I don’t mind if you call me a Diva.”
