A new report provides an update on Jordynne Grace‘s WWE contract.
Grace, a three-time TNA Knockouts World Champion, wrapped up with TNA at TNA Genesis,. She then signed with WWE. Grace competed in the Women’s Royal Rumble at WWE Royal Rumble, and the broadcast team noted that she had officially signed with the company.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Jordynne Grace signed a five-year contract with WWE, which will take her through 2029. Per Sapp, the plan is for Grace to be assigned to NXT, at least for the time being.
Sapp cites WWE sources who claim that Grace signed a main-roster level deal. Most in the company do not expect her to be in NXT for long. Additionally, following her signing, Grace retains the rights to her name and theme song.
As for TNA, sources said that they were interested in re-signing Grace, but they understood that the likelihood wasn’t high.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
