Duke Hudson Confirms WWE Release, Andre Chase Calls Him The Real MVP

Duke Hudson begins a new chapter following his WWE release.

Hudson confirmed his WWE release, which was reported by Fightful Select on February 3rd, in a vignette that he posted on social media. He talked to a different version of himself and shared his thoughts about his release. Hudson noted that he was not part of a group of cuts, so it felt like a “we hate you.”

He also said that he had wasted his time, as other Australian talent like Rhea Ripley and Bronson Reed overtook him. The other version of Hudson said that he could both be proud of his friends and disappointed in his own shortcomings.

Andre Chase, Hudson’s former tag team partner and stablemate, took to Twitter and thanked Duke Hudson for his hard work and his contributions to Chase U. He called Hudson the real MVP.

Hudson and Chase won the NXT Tag Team Championship together at NXT Halloween Havoc 2023. Hudson’s release brought his time to WWE to an end after nearly six years, as he signed with the company in 2019.
