The Undertaker shares his thoughts on Hulk Hogan getting booed at the Raw on Netflix premiere.
The Hulkster was one of the many, many legends who appeared on the program at the beginning of the year. He came out midway through the show, alongside Jimmy Hart, to promote his Real American beer brand. However, the crowd wasn’t too receptive to the WWE Hall of Famer. Hulk Hogan was practically booed out of the building.
The Undertaker addressed the fan’s reaction to Hulk Hogan on his Six Feet Under Podcast, and he didn’t show much sympathy. He quipped that Hogan was “no-selling” the crowd’s boos to sell his beer. The Undertaker then said that, sometimes, things come back.
“When I saw him, he was no-selling [the boos] and pushing his beer. I wasn’t backstage when he came… No, [I didn’t want to give him a hug].” The Undertaker said.
When asked if he felt bad for Hulk Hogan, he replied by saying, “No… I got feelings. I got feelings for people. But sometimes in life, things come back.”
The Undertaker Reveals the Original Plans He Had at the WWE Raw Netflix Debut
The Undertaker was originally meant to do something else on Raw’s premiere on Netflix
Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker mentioned that he was initially set out to do an interview but then plans changed. He also shared that when this idea was pitched he thought it would be like stepping on Ripley’s moment but the way it was executed, it felt more like giving Mami the ‘OG Rub.’
“Originally, I was going to do an entrance and an interview, which would have been fine. They had somebody that was going to interview me, and then they just thought that that would make that, that whole thing, even bigger for her,” The Undertaker said. [H/T Fightful.com]. “When they told me at first, I was like, ‘I don’t think so. Dude, that’s her moment. I don’t want to take away, I don’t want to step on any part of that.’ This is the payoff to a very long storyline. I said, ‘I sure don’t want to come out and step on her moment.’
“They basically explained, ‘She’s gonna have a moment in the ring. She’s gonna have this moment where you two will cross paths.’ I was like, ‘Okay, well, now, if it’s like that, it’s pretty cool.’ Not that our characters are similar, but they are a little bit,” he added. “It was just like me dabbing her up there a little bit, and good job, and giving her that OG rub.”
