Joe Hendry Would Like See Sheamus And The Miz Cross Over To TNA

One of the hottest topics in the wrestling world right now is the partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling. TNA World Champion Joe Hendry competed in the Men’s Royal Rumble, and he’d like to see some WWE stars come to TNA.

While speaking with Ariel Helwani on the Ariel Helwani Show, Joe Hendry commented on the possibilities that the partnership could open up. He noted that he’d like to see Sheamus, The Miz come to TNA and challenge him for his title.

“But now that the partnership is solidified, I really think that opens the door for even more possibilities,” he said. “And you know, I might even be as bold to say, ‘What if we invited some people into TNA Wrestling?’… So, I think actually to be honest, I think the fans would also be interested in maybe even seeing Sheamus maybe come over to TNA Wrestling. And challenging me for the TNA World Championship. Or The Miz for that matter.

“I think me and The Miz would have a fantastic program. And obviously, the partnership with NXT. Maybe Ethan Page comes over to TNA Wrestling and challenges me there. There’s so many possibilities. Here’s the cool thing about it. I know nothing. And I knew nothing until I found out about the Rumble. I’m just throwing some things out there in the hope that something might happen.”

Joe Hendry On Sharing A Moment With Sheamus

Hendry also reflected on a memorable moment in the WWE Royal Rumble match, in which Sheamus was in a corner and simply looking at him.

“You know, I was in the Rumble and a very organic moment that happened is, I slide in and I’m getting ready to do my thing and there’s Sheamus standing in the corner,” he said. “And this is something that people have gravitated towards.

“Genuinely in that moment, I was like, ‘I don’t know what to do.’ Because I wanted to do all those stuff but Sheamus is looking at me. And there you go, that is the picture. I’m like, ‘Do I attack him?’ But then, if I attack him, I’m going to keep going over at him. So, I thought, ‘you know what? Maybe, he just wants to see what’s happening. So, just let him observe.’ And the fans really kind of latched on to it.”
