Triple H Tells Fans To Cherish John Cena’s Last Run

Triple H thinks fans need to cherish John Cena for the time he has left in wrestling.

The WWE CCO spoke about John Cena following his runner-up performance at the 2025 Royal Rumble. He finished second in the titular match, being eliminated by winner Jey Uso in a finish many fans found controversial.

At the Royal Rumble 2025 post-show press conference, Triple H also added that Cena is trying to win the world championship one more time for the fans who supported him during his career.

“John is one of the greatest performers to ever do this, but an even better person and businessman. That is a rarity—to have all of those gifts and attributes.” Triple H said.

“It dawned on me tonight. When he walked into Gorilla Position before he walked out there, that it is the last time I will see John at a Royal Rumble. He said it here tonight. I was back there trying to hold my emotions together as he talked about it. I was there when he started. I’m here when he is getting to the end. The clock is ticking, and each time we see John, it is one of the last times we see him in this ring. For everyone out there watching—cherish this. This next year, this run that John Cena is doing, we just checked a box. The last time John Cena is in a Royal Rumble. Cherish it.”

“If he is in your town, he truly means this—it is an opportunity. And I know he talked about the Elimination Chamber, but it is an opportunity for everyone to get together, for those who have seen him over the years do what he does better than anybody else. There is one more time that he will come, hopefully to where you are, passing through town, and he would like to see you. He would like to get in there and do what he does as a thank you to you for being a part of his career for all of these years. That is how he sees it—as a partnership with the fans who supported him.”

Triple H: I Find It Hard To Believe John Cena Will Fail

Triple H continued as he spoke about John Cena declaring himself to enter the Elimination Chamber, saying he has earned the right to decide his match at the event.

“It is coming down to the wire and down to the end. The one thing I wanted to say about it is—because at the end of the day, it is my decision—John has absolutely, one thousand percent, earned the right to call the shot. So if he wants to be in the Elimination Chamber, he does not need to qualify. He does not need to ask or say anything more, including what he said before he walked out here, which was: ‘I want to be in the Elimination Chamber.’

“So, he is going to. Now, he will put everything he has into paying back everyone that watched him—by becoming champion one more time. Not for him. Not because he needs it to seal his legacy, not because he needs it to prove who John Cena is. But because he wants to give it back to everyone that watched him for all of these years.”

“With that kind of motivation, I find it hard to believe that John will fail. He will be at the Elimination Chamber in Toronto. Hopefully, everybody will be there to enjoy that with him, and we will move onward. But keep in mind—the clock is ticking, one match at a time.”
