During Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision, Cope issued a challenge to Jon Moxley, saying he wanted the AEW World Championship in a match at AEW Revolution.
In a vignette that played on Saturday, Cope criticized Moxley for keeping the title locked up in a briefcase, and said he didn’t actually respect anything, nor any of the people who helped pave the way forward for him. He said that Moxley doesn’t even really know what he’s going to do next, and has no plan, and is simply just a malcontent, who wants to yell at people.
Cope said he’s met several malcontents throughout his time in wrestling, and they all refuse to do the one thing they should: look in a mirror and change. Cope said that Moxley always seems to be the one at the heart of all the issues, and that at AEW Revolution, he would show Moxley who the actual relic of the past is.
